My Camino boots arrived last week and I love them.
We've begun, what will be a long, comfortable friendship.
These boots will be my constant companion as I make my pilgrimage in late April. They represent the first of a few investments I must make to prepare for this journey of 800 kilometers.
Boots and I have been trekking through snow and mud all week. We trail after my over exuberant pound-puppy (who believes she is actually a sled-dog). We get a good workout.
When I come in from the cold I find myself loathe to remove my comfortable new boots. I sit at my laptop, tapping away, occasionally stealing glances at the big, mud-covered boots on my feet under the desk.
